Project Overview
Space Trash is an interactive video game designed to assess cognitive performance through rapid motor tasks. Inspired by the Object Hit & Avoid (OHA) task of the KINARM robotic assessment tool, the game aims to replicate key behavioral metrics to identify early signs of cognitive decline associated with Alzheimer’s disease.
Research Questions
- Can we reproduce the behavioral outcomes of the Object Hit & Avoid task from the KINARM system?
- Can we design a game that is both engaging and diagnostically valuable?
- What kinds of data are available through a video game system that can support early dimentia diagnosis?
